ptpd on the apple mac

Hi all,

I'd like to use ptpd to sync machines accurately during live music
performances.  I use linux but many of the people I'd like to sync
with use macs.  I looked into porting ptpd briefly a while ago but it
didn't seem straightforward, as I remember apple seem to have
reimplemented ntp so the normal calls aren't there.  Does anyone have
any insight into how easy a port would be?
