[Pcsclite-muscle] 20th Anniversary of MUSCLE

I wanted to send a note and say that this year marks the 20th anniversary of MUSCLE.

It’s pretty incredible, actually.  MUSCLE was started as the Movement for the Use of Smart Cards in a Linux Environment in 1998 originally as collection of open source device drivers for smart card readers.  Over the years, things began to standardize such as the PC/SC API and CCID standards for USB readers.  Ludovic Rousseau has been maintaining this now for over 15 years which is incredible.

I still watch the mailing list and read the messages and occasionally see some familiar names from quite some time ago.  These days I’m working with a team of researchers at the University of Michigan on the open source zmap.io and censys.io projects.

I didn’t want to SPAM the list but I thought it would be nice to recognize the anniversary and Ludovic’s work all these years.
