Hello,
An email from someone not on the mailing list, but his email may help
people making or using OpenSUSE.
Maybe there is something wrong with the default OpenSUSE polkit configuration.

Hello,
I am working with OpenSuSE 13.2, I have installed and configured the
card reader for all users. The step to follow are:
* Add repository:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/security:/chipcard/openSUSE_13.2/
Security
* Install packages:
zypper in pcsc-tools opensc pcsc-ccid pinentry-gtk2
* Edit /etc/polkit-default-privs.standard file:
search for:
org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_pcsc auth_admin:auth_admin:yes
org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_card auth_admin:auth_admin:yes
edit:
org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_pcsc yes:yes:yes
org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_card yes:yes:yes
then, in order to commit changes execute:
/sbin/set_polkit_default_privs
and, thats it!
card reader available for all system users!
saludos.
Nicolas.
