This one ^^^^ , in particular as the person who opened it, is
"obviously correct", fixes ongoing unnecessary flash erase cycles and
potential for corruption and data loss, makes snapshots for this
device useful again, and should just take a few minutes to review and
merge. It has been sitting there for a few weeks now, waiting. It
would be a chance to go from 941 open pull requests to 940 with
minimal effort.
