[OpenWrt-Devel] Fwd: Logd hangs after hitting X limit

Hello all,

I was testing using an older branch of logd from trunk; circa october
2016. We noticed that the openwrt logd/readlog periodically hangs and
needs to be restarted. This is only due to sending around 16k of logs
(default values).

I upgraded ubox and everything in between for the latest logd and while
logd does not hang now, this issue still persists albeit much better.
Simply sighuping and restarting logread restarts the logging versus before
- restarting everything.

In some situations, logd crashes as well. I had a bash script running in
the background generating timestamped events repeatedly. Procd did not
respawn logd, which was odd too.

Any notes on these or known bugs?
