SSL connection fails with pulse protocol

Hello.

I am attempting to connect to a VPN as described here:
https://kb.iu.edu/d/bbte
("Connect to IU's SSL VPN using OpenConnect on a 64-bit Linux
workstation").

Until recently, this method worked. It now fails with the following
output (in part):

```
SSL negotiation with vpn.iu.edu
Connected to HTTPS on vpn.iu.edu with ciphersuite (TLS1.2)-(RSA)-(AES-256-GCM)
Got HTTP response: HTTP/1.1 101 Switching Protocols
Enter user credentials:
Username:xxxxxxxxx
Password:
Enter secondary credentials:
Secondary password:
Unexpected IF-T/TLS packet when expecting configuration.
Unexpected Pulse config packet:
[I omit the packet]
Creating SSL connection failed
Unknown error; exiting.
```

This error began to appear about the time that Pulse Secure was acquired
by Ivanti. Note that the IU knowledge base article, linked above, now
recommends using the Ivanti client rather than openconnect. Have you
seen this error and can you offer advice on solving it?

I am running OpenConnect version v9.01-0+9.1 on Ubuntu 20.04.5.

with thanks,

Ian Cornelius
