:) A proposal to solve that would be to move the repository to github
or gitlab which allow using a travis-like CI which would catch these
errors prior to commit, when the pull request is created. We'd only
need few rules to build using the various possible combinations.

(btw. gitlab can also be locally deployed although I don't know how
easy it is to maintain)
