OOpsla; there is something wrong about the patch:
ap->ioaddr.altstatus_addr = base + ??;

What value would you suggest to assign here?
I have seen different values being assigned here in different locations like
base + 0x8a, 0xe, 0xca or ap->ioaddr.ctl_addr like before.
