Unfamiliar with git, it didn't give me an 'extensive patchset' but I managed
to get an entire source tree from there.
After compiling it gave me a kernel calling itself 2.6.33-r4.
Booting this kernel with a prism card inserted ran up to the login prompt
without any problem. So you seem to have found the cuprit.
