Pcmcia 16-bit network card 3com 574 ( linux kernel module: 3c574_cs)

After system update, among other, pcmciautils and udev where changed, since then my pcmcia network card cannot be recognised as result of what eth0 is gone. The card doesn’t appear in /sys/bus/pcmcia/devices/ also.
Manually loading the module 3c574_cs doesn’t help, the card still stays unrecognized. 
Kernel ( via dmesg) reports inserting the card into pcmcia slot but udevadm monitor shows nothing, 
probably because the card for the system is death...but why, before update with same kernel and modules, card recognition works properly.
