How do I force Linux to rescan for pcmcia/cardbus/expresscard cards.
The bus interface in our cards is in an FPGA.
Should something go fluey on the card, there will be no bus interface.
We can temporarily reprogram the card externally ( via JTAG)
But to permanently program the card we need to access it from the host.
The gotcha is that after the card has been programmed via JTAG,
Linux is not noticing that the card has changed from brain dead to
usable, that it now has proper CIS ID's etc.
So how can I tell Linux to go out and look for the card again.
In this instance WITHOUT cycling the power on the card.
