there are quite a number of cm4040 and cm4000 users, particularly among laptop
users of the GnuPG key smartcard.  It's particularly popular among the Fellows
of the FSFE.  I have forwarded a request to test those patches to them.

Not sure if anyone actually will give it a try, but at least I hope so.
