unable to mount Cf card on 2.6.18 kernel

Hi,
I am try to access Cf card using PCMCIA driver that is in build ik the
kernel....
But its not working...when i insert CF card then no message is comming on
the serial console..as  soon as i remove the Cf card from the slot then all
message are comming to the serial console....

I am using linux kernel 2.6.18....

Can any one please tell me how to activated Cf card deriver in the kernel...

If any body know please email me....
