Reg. PCMCIA serial card

Hi all,
I am a beginner for Debian Linux. 
I have got a PCMCIA serial port card, installed in my system.
I am unable to use it. I have installed the pcmcia utils that came with
debian. My kernel version is 2.6.18.
WHile booting, it shows the following error message.

I could n't understand the exact problem.
Please help me how to go about.
