Unable to use PCMCIA Memory Devices...

G'Day,

I was able to use PCMCIA Memory Devices in early 2.6.x kernels without
any difficulty, but a while back (2.6.10 IIRC --- the version from which
cardmgr could no longer be used) things suddenly stopped working, and
now with 2.6.15-omap1 there has been no change. I have only found one
person with the same problem via Google, but there did not seem to be a
solution offered to them, but I am hoping someone may be able to help
me. When I plug in a memory device, I get the following messages:
	pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0

If I try to mount the device from here, I receive a `No such device or
address' error. From what I can tell from various FAQs, I have
everything necessary in kernel, so I am not too sure where to go from
here. I am running an embedded system using an OMAP1 chipset, in case
that is relevant; 2.6.15 is the most recent kernel version I can
currently use too.
