It won't work. The Compaq laptop did some funny stuff behind the
scenes to configure the PCMCIA bridge to handle old-style ISA bus DMA
operations. Implementation of ISA DMA on modern CardBus bridges is
spotty and not supported by the Linux PCMCIA subsystem.
