PCMCIA Hang...

I'm using a laptop with a PCIxx21/x515 PCMCIA bridge (says Cardbus
Controller in Windows) from Texas Instruments. I also have a PCIxx21
Integrated FlashMedia Controller. One or both of them causes every
Linux distribution I've tried to hang when detecting PCMCIA at boot. I
have to completely skip PCMCIA detection to be able to use Linux. Does
anybody else have this problem and/or a solution to it? Is it simply
lack of correct drivers that are not available to Linux yet?
