Driver status for GPR 400 smart card reader.

Hello.

Can somebody tell me the status of the gpr400 driver?
I've several versions of this driver. The first code i found was:

I think this is the original release. But only supports kernel 2.4.
After that i found a port to kernel 2.6:
http://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~ploetz/gpr400/

But last one do di not compile, too.
Is there a working driver for 2.6 outside? Some ideas to include the
driver into main kernel?
