I doubt its hostap but I don't know much about how PCMCIA works. Does the IO 
of the controller get memory mapped, does it use ports or does it use both?

I have another machine with one of these cards in it that isn't being used 
(physically 2.5 hours away). Its got the same version of the kernel on it 
(2.6.10) and I just tried loading the pd6729 driver successfully on it. 
"cardctl info" stats its a "WL200_11Mbps_Wireless_PCI_Card" so the problem is 
just my current machine. The memory window idea now seems the most plausable 
I guess. Is there some way I can get a list of BIOS reserved memory regions 
or, if possible, conflicting regions?
