linux 2.6 pcmcia power issues

I had the same problem and wrote a Mail to this list to (Subject: "***
DANGER *** unable to remove socket power - reservee= doesn't help").
I had the idea to try Knoppix (to see if it's not a configuration
problem), I had Version 3.3 here, with Kernel 2.4, and when ejecting the
card I got no power errors, with "cardctl info" I could even get the
information of the card. I did not have enough time to load a driver
etc. or try a recent Knoppix Version with Kernel 2.6, because I promised
to lend a friend the card, since I couldn't use it... :)
So, if I'm right it worked with Kernel 2.4 and is an 2.6 problem...
