irq 11: nobody cared

I'm new to the list and have been through the archives for the last few
months, and I've seen this issue reported by a few people. My card has
infact worked (with this current kernel - nitro2 on gentoo), but it was
flaky, sometimes success, usually failure.

when booting with my Netgear WG511 in the slot, and yenta and all other
relevant code compiled into the kernel, I am seeing (from dmesg)...

I have tried with "irqpoll" in my grub.conf, but the same message is
displayed, and my card fails to initialise.
