Yes, I can try any cards:

#insert a network card

#>>>
kernel: cs: memory probe 0x90000000-0x903fffff: excluding
0x90000000-0x9003ffff 0x90080000-0x900bffff 0x90100000-0x9013ffff
0x90180000-0x901bffff 0x90200000-0x9023ffff 0x90280000-0x902bffff
0x90300000-0x9033ffff
cardmgr[2273]: socket 0: Level One 10/100 Fast Ethernet
kernel: eth0: NE2000 (DL10022 rev 05): io 0x300, irq 18, hw_addr
00:E0:98:77:63:D0
ifup: No configuration found for eth0
#<<<

after removing, I can't see any lines in /var/log/messages !
When I inserting now a modem-card in socket 0 then I can see no
actions !
So, rcpcmcia restart (no kernel Ooops!)
Now, I inserting the modem-card again

#>>>
kernel: cs: memory probe 0x90000000-0x903fffff: excluding
0x90000000-0x9003ffff 0x90080000-0x900bffff 0x90100000-0x9013ffff
0x90180000-0x901bffff 0x90200000-0x9023ffff 0x90280000-0x902bffff
0x90300000-0x9033ffff
cardmgr[11960]: socket 0: Serial or Modem
kernel: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 18) is a 16550A
#<<<

But I can't see any lines again by removing the card.
"rcpcmcia restart" (no kernel Ooops!)
Now, I inserting a unformatted 2MB FlashDisk Card ("SanDisc"; ATA)

#>>>
kernel: cs: memory probe 0x90000000-0x903fffff: excluding
0x90000000-0x9003ffff 0x90080000-0x900bffff 0x90100000-0x9013ffff
0x90180000-0x901bffff 0x90200000-0x9023ffff 0x90280000-0x902bffff
0x90300000-0x9033ffff
cardmgr[12304]: socket 0: ATA/IDE Fixed Disk

cardmgr[12304]: get dev info on socket 0 failed: No such device
#<<<

After removing this card I can't see any actions.
But after "rcpcmcia restart" follows the known kernel Ooops !!!
(...Module ds is in use)

After hard-reboot, I have inserting my SRAM-card again. The memory
are complete excludet:-( That is curious.

P.S.
To look at Your configs, You can send me "/etc/pcmcia/*"
as PM ? I should like to look at the differences [ sample "bind" ]
I have found many errors in SuSE 9.1 (kernel-2.6.?)! [Original]

>grep "memory_cs" /etc/pcmcia/config | wc -l

Imho - it's fatal for this distribution!

Thank You!
