Those were all I saw at the time. Just tried it again. Did
/etc/init.d/pcmcia restart and it was normal (said "watching 1 socket",
etc).

Then I put in the card and got one high beep but no lights. Checked
dmesg and saw this:

Linux Kernel Card Services
   options: [pci] [cardbus] [pm]
Yenta: CardBus bridge found at 0000:01:0a.0 [0000:0000]
Yenta: ISA IRQ mask 0x0000, PCI irq 10
Socket status: 30000086
cs: IO port probe 0x0100-0x04ff: excluding 0x290-0x297 0x4d0-0x4d7
cs: IO port probe 0x0800-0x08ff: clean.
cs: IO port probe 0x0c00-0x0cff: clean.
cs: IO port probe 0x0a00-0x0aff: clean.
cs: IO port probe 0xa000-0xbfff: clean.
cs: pcmcia_socket0: voltage interrogation timed out.

Then I typed "cardctl insert" at a command line and dmesg added this:

cs: memory probe 0xe4000000-0xe4ffffff: excluding 0xe4000000-0xe40fffff
