PCI IRQ routing change broke PCMCIA/prism54 driver

I recently changed the way PCI interrupt routing is done. We used to
go through all the ACPI _PRTs at boot-time, programming IOSAPICs and
setting pci_dev->irq. That all happened before any drivers got involved.

Now (in 2.6.8-rc3-mm2[1] and later), we don't do anything at boot-time, and
all this interrupt routing happens when drivers call pci_enable_device().

This has exposed some problems, typically things like drivers that
don't call pci_enable_device(), or drivers that look at pci_dev->irq
before calling pci_enable_device().  So I added a flag "pci=routeirq"
that forces the old behavior of doing the interrupt routing before
the drivers.

One problem is that prism54 quit working. As far as I can see,
prism54 and yenta_socket are doing the right thing. But there's
a lot of interrupt magic in there that I don't understand at all.

So does all this ring any bells? Does pcmcia need something
special in this area?

Subject: pci=routeirq fixed my device...

Hi Bjorn,

per your instructions in the boot sequence, here's my lspci output. My
WiFi network card stopped working when I upgraded to 2.6.8-rc4-mm1 (was
fine in rc2-mm1). Adding pci=routeirq made it work again.
The device driver is in drivers/net/wireless, it's the prism54.

Thanks in advance!
