The message above is from /var/log/messages. I have just retyped on
another computer the last thing that displays on my screen before the
computer locks up. Here is the pertinent information:

Incidentally, there is no entry in /var/log/messages for this boot. But
even when I boot without the MA401 inserted, the following is reported
by 'dmesg':

Could this problem be due to the IRQ conflict?
