That's a known problem with -test6. Unfortunately, I can't
point you at a nice simple patch to fix the problem, because my
original patch broke cardbus with a nice sysfs deadlock (again!)
The fixes are merged into -test7, and -test7 should generally work.
(There is the issue I just posted a patch about, but that will only
bite if you play around with the way PCMCIA gets shut down when you
halt/reboot your machine.)
