for kernel 2.6 and yenta, what to have in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia?

Ok, pcmcia does not beep or auto start on  insert of
card or anything with kernel 2.6.  If i modprobe
yenta_socket, then restart pcmcia, then i can use my
card.  but i know with 2.6 it switched from module
yenta to yenta_socket, so doesn't that mean beeping
and auto starting things should work as before if i
change it to PCIC=yenta_socket in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia?
