patches follow, and re kill register_pccard_drivers patch

A couple of PCMCIA-related patches will follow. Sorry for the delay. But now
they seem to be working.

And Russell: What's your opinion about Christoph Hellwig's "kill
register_pccard_driver" patch? I'd like to see it merged ASAP.
