His advice might apply to some problem in 2.6 but does not apply to
your problem, which is a platform-specific issue with 2.4.

You may have to take your problem to someone who knows specifically
about this platform.  It is going to be hard for someone to help

You are not supposed to copy IO and memory ranges already allocated by
the CardBus bridge device into the config.opts file.  These ranges are
already allocated, and hence, not available for allocation for a new
PCMCIA card, which is what this file is for.

Any reason why you picked this?  What was the behavior with the
default memory settings?
