[Linux-parport] Hp 5100c not recognized

i tried with

modprobe epst

and the dmesg was:

epst.0: epst 0.92 (0.92), Shuttle EPST at 0x378 mode 5 (EPP-32) dly 1 nice 0
sg 16
scsi2 : epst

but whatever i think that the system don't recognized the scanner..

what can i do?
