[Linux-parport] external Paraller Port CD Bruner (MicoSolution Backpack)

I have a external Parallel port port CD Burner, it had drivers (paride/pg) available in Mandrake 9.1 and i could use the cd burner with xcdroast. 

This was missing in Mandrake 9.2, i initially thought this was a quirk, now I find this does not exist in Mandrake 10.0 as well.

What happened? Any help will be much appreciated.
