spi-nor and flash Erase Suspend ?

I noticed our system freezing when JFFS2 starts to erase sectors and I recognice this
behaviour from the past that this is usally caused by Erase Suspend not working.

After a quick look at the sources I don't see Erase suspend impl. in spi-nor?

I am fairly new to spi-nor so if anyone can enlighten me what is missing or
any pointers I would really appreciate that.
