Huh? Maybe I have a crazy modified gcc.

But:

$ gcc -Wall -Wextra -c b.c

b.c:1:1: warning: control reaches end of non-void function [-Wreturn-type]
 int test() { }
 ^
$ cat b.c
int test() { }
