JFFS2 performance problem with large number of files in one directory

Hi

I use JFFS2 on top of NAND flash in my Linux working on ARM processor. I noticed that issuing "rm *" in directory containing a lot (i.e. 70000-150000) of small files (about 20kB), causes JFFS2 process consume almost 100% of CPU. This state lasts about 1,5day.

Is this a known issue? Can I do anything about it?
