I had no time to finish debugging it on two controllers I was trying to
cover in the same time (TI and Jmicron).

Legacy memorysticks are sort-of barebone. In general, they can be seen as
MTD targets if you take into account that their oob field is actually a
register, not a directly accessible memory.
