Issue with flash_*** utilities

Hi All,

I am working with Linux 2.6.18, I am facing some issues with
flash_erase, flash_write utilities. I am using Spansion Flash, in
which lock/unlock is not working. I wanted to debug this issue -

Can anybody tell me where can I find the source code for these utilities?

I am getting error message -

# flash_erase /dev//mtd1
Erase Total 1 Units
Performing Flash Erase of length 131072 at offset 0x0
MTD Erase failure: Read-only file system

Form where it gets printed?
