Diskonchip module Hang

Hi there

after mucking around with different recent snapshots i am starting to wonder
if the latest few versions have been broken.

As soon as i run modprobe diskonchip, modprobe falls into an infintie hang

Can someone please spend a minute to tell me if the know of a working (well
partially working) cvs version that would work with either
2.6.10 or 2.6.15
