multiple flash parts

If i have hardware with two flash parts, not
interleaved, 
spread over consecutive address ranges. MTD does
recognize
these as seperate flash parts. Since these are
seperate flash parts, Does MTD allow simultaneos
erase/write actions on the flash parts?
