doc millennium (2001) with inftl?

hi,

some weeks ago i bought a doc mill.
access to the flash was not possible.
only the access to the chip regs is working.

is it possible that this is because the chip is
INFTL instead of NFTL?

i learned a little bit of the NFTL access by looking
at the linux code. but not much and currently my time
is limited... i just have seen some discussion about that
topic for doc2000 devices... would be interesting
if that is the reason why i could not access the
flash memory...
