Fixed the read method to handle reads crossing page and half-page
boundaries. Cleaned up state machine in read method. Added code in
the write method to verify data after it has been written. Added
code in write method to write across page and half-page boundaries.
Added code in erase method to execute a call back function if it
exists. Cleaned up various unused variables. Spinlocks and wait
queues will be added in next version.
