Log Message:
Switch to SIGKILL for killing the GC thread, because that automatically
wakes up a TASK_STOPPED thread. So we no longer send SIGQUIT,SIGCONT.
Zero c->gc_task when it's initialised. Otherwise kupdate oopses if
write_super() gets called before the kernel thread manages to start.
