Hi AngeloGioacchino,

Yes, however, I was not aware of this when I responded last year.
There have been internal discussions since then, and we have 
decided that new MediaTek maintainers will be added.
This position is still not appropriate for someone external
to MediaTek. I hope for your understanding.

I agree with your point, perhaps we simply have different 
viewpoints, but our goal is the same—to make this community better.
If there are any shortcomings in our ideas, we can discuss 
them and focus on the patch itself, rather than resorting to 
blanket criticisms such as labeling downstream as low quality 
or upstream as inherently superior.
Such remarks do not contribute to the improvement of the community.
