Thanks for your patch, which is now commit e8d5a57e6d0ce827 ("arm64:
defconfig: disable deprecated MAX96712 driver") in media/master.

As Niklas has already pointed out in a reply to v5, you forgot to enable
the replacement CONFIG_VIDEO_MAX96724, thus breaking operation.
