On v2 of the series Felix commented saying I should go ahead with the
hardware stats first and he can later implement for software only
interfaces [1]. This is the reason I went ahead with this. Initially
this series was not standardizing the stats of HSR/PPR interfaces, it
was only meant for dumping those stats for ICSSG via ethtool -S.

Felix and Jakub commented saying I should standardize these stats.

Hi Felix, When can you implement the same for software only interfaces?
If we can't add support for hardware interfaces before software only
interfaces, then what should be the next steps?
