Aren't you talking about
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/spi/microchip,mpfs-spi.yaml or 
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/fpga/microchip,mpf-spi-fpga-mgr.yaml
rather than atmel,spi.yaml ?
