I hope you get better soon!

Let's come up with the best of both series (I'm pretty sure mine isn't
perfect...).

I also need to reply to Mark's patches, as there is a number of things
I ended up changing in my patches and that should be part of the base
NMI series (bogus trapping and restrictive cap being two main two).
