Unfortunately, different exceptions do subtly different things before
invoking the main handler. For example:

 - Stashing the far
 - Enabling IRQs
 - Enabling debug
 - All the stuff on the syscall path

so putting the logic in kernel_entry isn't really do-able, unfortunately.
