Probably the lack of a line matching '^PATCH\s+FOLLOWS\s*$', '^--[- ]$'.

It's rather particular about that before it'll even consider sending a
reply,  It's a measure to prevent excessive collateral spam and my MTA
being blacklisted as a result.
