Well, I already have it in -pbatard, because I too disagreed with Peter, 
so of course, that's what I'd like in 1.0.10. IMO, every library should 
have a get_version() call, as it can avoid an awful lot of mess. The 
first thing I do in xusb is display the version, so that whenever we ask 
someone to test using xusb and send us the log, we can be sure of the 
version they use.
