FYI, issue #6 from Sean is addressed by one of the 5 patches I 
submitted, because it impacted MSVC6 therefore was addressed there.

I think patch #5 is fairly safe to have as well.

I'll pick those up in my pu branch.

No. I probably should have added him to the original forking committee. 
I'll extend an invitation to him once I've dealt with the libusb-devel 
mishap...
